Jeffrey Nesson has been representing the Baltimore County and Carroll communities since 1983. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, Ct in 1978 and from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1983 at which time he was admitted to the Maryland State Bar, United States District Court and United States Bankruptcy Court. He was a partner in the Law firm of Summerfield, Willen, Silverberg and Nesson until he opened his own law firm in 1993. Jeff's practice emphasizes bankruptcy where he has helped many people get a "fresh start" by eliminating debt or catching up on their mortgage and avoiding foreclosures. He was the Chair of the Consumer Bankruptcy Section in 2010-2011 and has been active with that section since it was formed. He is also the recipient of the Alan Belsky Award for 2018-19 for his outstanding contributions to the section.
Jeff's practice also includes all areas of family law (divorce, custody, visitation, child support and alimony, domestic violence).
Jeff has resided in Owings Mills for over 30 years with his wife and 2 children. He is an avid skier and cyclist. Jeff is particularly proud of his participation for the past 11 years with an organization called the Pan Mass Challenge during which time he has raised over $60,000 for cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
