Jeffrey P Nesson is a 1983 graduate of the University Of Baltimore School Of Law. Since that time he has been an attorney in Owings Mills. Before leaving to open a solo practice in 1993, Jeff was a partner in a local law firm. Jeff’s practice areas include domestic, bankruptcy, criminal, personal injury and worker’s compensation as well as other areas of litigation.
Jeff has extensive experience in all areas of domestic law and has published appellate opinions on child support, custody and alimony. In 2010, Jeff was elected chair of the Maryland State Bar Association Consumer Bankruptcy Section. He has been practicing bankruptcy law since 1983 and has filed close to a thousand cases. The bankruptcy court has deemed two of his cases to be of sufficient import to publish them on the Court website. He is also honored to have been elected Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation which is composed of not more than 2.5% of Maryland Lawyers.
Most of the practice’s clients come from the Northwest Baltimore County and Carroll County communities although he will travel throughout the State as may be required. Jeff has deep ties to his community. He lives in Owings Mills where he resides with his wife of 27 years and has raised 2 children ages 25 and 23 who attended local public schools. When not working, Jeff is an avid cyclist and skier.
It is his goal to provide personal service to his client’s. It is impossible to maintain an active thriving practice in a small community without the goodwill and referrals of clients, friends and fellow colleagues. He hopes that if you have need of a lawyer that you will consider calling for an appointment as he begins his 31st year of serving his community.
